Did you know? Tampons and pads aren’t your only choices. You have more options to help you manage that time of the month.

A menstrual cup is a flexible cup that fits inside your vagina and collects blood during your period. Other options are Period panties  which are super-absorbent, and you can wear them on their own on your lighter days or with a tampon during heavier times, and re use them after washing.  Another option would be Reusable cloth pads that can also be washed and worn again.

There are even products such as Menstrual disks. While the menstrual cup sits in the vaginal canal where a tampon also sits, menstrual discs sit at the vaginal fornix, which is deeper into the vaginal canal. This is an important distinction, because that placement means discs can be safely worn during sex while still blocking the flow of blood.

The variety of new products allows women a range of choices on what makes them most comfortable while dealing with menstruation.
